Moderately slow-growing deciduous shrub or small tree to 5-8’ tall x 6-10’ wide. This attractive variety forms a cascading mound of finely-divided, bright-green foliage that turns vivid shades of golden-yellow tinged with red in the cool of fall. A standout in any setting, this delicate-looking variety is well-suited as an accent or background, and is ideally-suited for woodland or Asian-themed gardens, as well as making a fine container specimen. Prune to maintain a desired form, or leave to grow naturally where its arching branches will gracefully weep downward to eventually touch ground. An attractive branching structure gives this variety year-round appeal, even when not in leaf. Prefers regular watering in a well-drained soil, and thrives in a light sun to light shade exposure. Requires protection from hot afternoon sun in warmer inland climates, and may experience leaf-scorch in areas prone to strong winds. Deer resistant.
