Minimum USDA Hardiness Zone

Fast-growing, large evergreen shrub or small tree to 8-10’ tall x 3-4’ wide. With its neat and narrow growth-habit, this selection is perfect for tight areas that might not accommodate broader-growing varieties. A good substitute for Syzygium myrtifolia. Attractive gray-green foliage is accented with hummingbird-attracting, bottlebrush-like, vivid red blooms that appear continuously throughout the warmer months of the year. Well-suited as a single accent or planted in multiples as a dense-growing screen or hedge. Provide regular watering and a light pruning during the first year of growth to help promote a healthy, tight and tidy column of foliage. Once fully-established, this grateful variety requires little more than periodic, supplemental watering. Cold hardy to 15°F (one of the hardiest Bottlebrush on the market). Tolerates a variety of different soil types (provided they’re fast-draining), and thrives in a full sun exposure.
