Chansonette is versatile as a bloomer displaying many brilliant pink double blooms and glossy dark green leaves with a short pendulous habit. The fllowers are perfect for cutting. Chansonette is an excellent choice for a colorful low hedge. It can grown on an espalier and even used as a groundcover. It blooms in mid season.Camellias must have acidic well-drained soil and be planted high (trunk base is well above the soil line) in a protected climate free from extended heavy freezes. Mulch helps to keep the roots cool in summer climates.
