Cupressocyparis Leylandii often called Leyland Cypress is a beautiful hybrid tree. It is an upright evergreen conifer that can grow to heights of more than 100 ft. In most areas of the United States Leyland Cypress usually grows to about 50 ft. It is very symmetrical and usually takes on a pyramidal shape. The conifer needles are overlapping and scaly and grow into dense sprays covering upward-curving branches. It makes an outstanding screen windbreak or barrier.
