Euonymus Emerald ‘n Gold is a colorful evergreen bushy shrub. Its dense mounding habit makes it an excellent small hedge or border plant. Emerald ‘n Gold provide bright green foliage with a gold edge all year long. The leaves are of oval form and they are toothed. The leaves are tinged pink in winter. The greenish-white flowers are not showy. They appear in early summer. The fruits can be quite showy. They come in the fall as white capsules that expose bright orange seeds. Euonymus Emerald ‘n Gold tolerates a wide range of soil conditions and high moisture but does not tolerate swampy conditions.Plant Emerald ‘n Gold in full sun to light shade. It is a moderate grower: 4 to 5 ft. tall 3 ft. wide at maturity. Euonymus Emerald ‘n Gold will also grow as a climber if it is adequately supported. Regular watering is needed to establish a good root system initially; later water requirements are occasional to regular depending on climate and temperatures. Overall Plant Emerald ‘n Gold is a very brilliant golden plant that contrasts nicely with other green landscapes. It even makes a nice single specimen but its lower stature suggests it is better suited to make a barrier hedge in existing gardens or as a perimeter shrub.
