Minimum USDA Hardiness Zone

Moderate-growing, clumping evergreen perennial to 8-12” tall and wide. This popular, cold hardy species forms a tufted mound of attractive, scalloped, deep-green leaves accented with abundant sprays of showy pinkish-red flowers that rise above the mounded foliage spring into summer, attracting butterflies and hummingbirds. Great as a low-growing border, as a filler between shrubs, or in mixed flower beds or containers. Prefers regular watering in a well-drained soil, and a partial sun to partial shade exposure. Requires protection from hot afternoon sun in warmer climates. Deer resistant.
