Moderately slow-growing evergreen succulent to 1-2’ tall and wide. This popular, petite-growing selection forms small rosettes of lightly-concaved leaves, varying in tone from grayish-green to a golden-brownish-green with attractive reddish-brown margins on the uppermost portion of the leaf surface. These leaves are covered with fine hair that gives this variety its soft, velvety look and feel. Fuzzy 14-18” tall stems topped with greenish-yellow flowers may appear in spring, though flowering can be highly inconsistent. Great for mixed succulent plantings or in containers, and can even be grown indoors if provided good light. Requires a fast-draining soil and little water once established, and thrives in a sun to partial shade exposure. Can tolerate full coastal sun, but requires some protection from hot afternoon sun in warm inland climates.
