Moderate-growing deciduous shrub or small tree to 10-15’ tall x 12-15’ wide forming a rounded canopy with age. Crape Myrtle has long been a popular landscape favorite and is revered for its vibrant floral display and attractive multi-toned peeling bark. This showy mildew-resistant variety features glossy deep-green foliage that emerges with an attractive bronzy-tinge and is highlighted with a magnificent display of abundant vivid deep-purple flowers that appear in summer. Adding further appeal is the attractive mottled tan and grey-colored bark and brilliant orange-red fall foliage display. As a large shrub this variety is well-suited as a specimen accent or background and in tree form makes a great courtyard or street tree. Low water needs once established. Full sun.
