Liquidambar S. Rotundiloba is a special selection of liquidambar that produces very few seed balls.  Unlike the other sweet gums the unique foliage of this liquidambar has rounded lobes.  It makes a handsome shade or street tree.  It grows in a narrow form when young and becomes more rounded with maturity.  It is much less columnar than the other Sweet Gum varieties.  It is nicely used as a litter-free front-yard tree specimen.  It is fast growing to 40 to 50 ft. high with a spread of 25 to 30 ft.
