Fast-growing evergreen perennial to 3’ tall x 3-4’ wide. This compact growing variety forms a rounded mound of fragrant medium-green foliage accented with abundant and unique bi-colored red and white flowers that appear continuously from mid-spring into early fall attracting hummingbirds, butterflies and bees. During the peak temperatures of summer this variety will intermittently produce solid red or solid white flowers, but as heat subsides the showy multi-toned flowers reappear. A hard pruning in late-winter will help promote a more vigorous, compact growing specimen. Tolerates a variety of different soil types from rich and loamy to poor and sandy though it is essential that the soil is fast-draining. Requires little water once established and prefers a full to partial sun exposure. Deer resistant.
